Dr. Shan, Prices of hotels in the region, including Malaysia have gone up some 25-50% over the last year or so. There is another Hotel called Kuching Santubong Resort, but it is some distance from the Convention Venue, a good 45 minutes walk, so is not a suitable place to stay. In any case, all 130 rooms at the Damai Puri are taken, and we have also sold all our quota of 35 rooms at Damai Beach, and late registrants are only given rooms when the hotels agrees to release rooms to us. As for sharing, please coordinate with other fellow delegates to share rooms. Please contact the Secretariat if you have any further queries.
